The installation cum
consecration ceremony
of the idols of Shri 1008 Adinatha Swami, Bhagwaan Parshwanatha Swami and Bhagwaan
Mahaveera Swami along with Pancha Kalyanak Pratishtha and Shikhar Kalasharohan Mahotsav were held today
at Dower Street, Franklin township, about 30 miles from Newark, the New Jersey
state headquarter, under the gracious presence and blessings of His highness
Swasthi Shree Charukeerthi Battarak Panditacharyavarya Swamiji, the religious
Head of Sri Jain Mutt, Moodbidri, the holy seat of India’s Digambar Jain community.
Speaking on the occasion, His Holiness Sri Swamiji said
that the great ideals of the Jain religion, namely detachment, nonviolence and
adherence to truth are crucial for the welfare of humanity. The survival of
humanity is possible only by following the path shown by the Jain Dharma. He
said that good moral conduct helps man and society live in peace and it paves
the way for progress and prosperity. Lord Jina gives us the message of morality
necessary for the physical and spiritual well-being of humanity.
Presiding over the function, Mr Bharath Shaha
stressed the need for following the ideals set by Acharyas and Bhattarakas to
make this universe prosperous and strong. He called upon the people to follow
the tenets of religion right earnest.
The President
of Narsingpur Jain Samaj, Jignesh, Mukesh, Nayana, Kalpana Bharat Shaha,
Vakaria, Chintan, Sourabh Mewad of Jain Samaj,
Newark’ s women representative Vidhya Behan, Dharmesh Shaha, Rajeev Pandya
and other representatives from Newark were
present on the occasion. Himanshu, Meenakshi, Basanth, Srusti, Sanjai, Nimisha Shaha were some of the dignitaries. People in a
large number participated in the function. Mementos were presented to the
guests.
Earlier, under the gracious presence and guidance
of His highness Swastisri Charukererthi Swamiji got on foot the tree day
religious function from June 29th to july1st, comprising Thoranmahurth,
Dwajrohan, Indraprathista Yagamandal Aradhana, Shanthichakravidaan, Gunaropa Kalaropana
and Praan Prathista of the newly made Jina idols at Franklin Town City in the Jain Temple of New Jersey, USA. His
highness Amarendra Muni, The Siddachalam seer, Nirmal Doshi, scholar-organizer
of Newbrownswick, NJ, City Police, City Officers and more than 1500 Shravakas
and Shravikas from all over North America, a number of Indians, Jains from
Nairobi, Europian Jains and other devotees attended the grand prathista
mahotsav .
